Faculty members designed the syllabus for conducting certificate course in Spoken English, English Correspondence course. Similarly curriculum is designed for bridge course, remedial classes and enrichment classes. Department collected feedbacks from students, parents, academic peers, employer etc about the curriculum. Department conducts bridge course for newly admitted students,Conducting remedial classes for weak students, Conducting enrichment classes for advance learners, organizing seminars, group discussions by involving students.

Infrastructure and Learning Resources
Department has a computer with printer, Department has T.V set, Department has LCD projector, Department has maintained library with 50 books, 02 journals, 50 A/V CD’s and DVD’s on spoken English and personality development

The success rate is presently 91%. The drop out rate is 25%   (the drop out primarily is due to their getting a seat in D. Ed. course, which gives them early job opportunity

Innovative practices:
Faculty members are mentoring the students through study circle, Conducting certificate courses, Conducting guest lectures, Involving the students in college research project. Faculty attending refresher courses/workshops/seminars under F.I.P. Faculty members present research papers in the seminars/workshops. One of our faculty members Smt. Hussna S. Desai has presented two papers in national and state level seminar on the topics as shown below.

a) Task based approach in English Language.
b) Importance of communication for Science and Technical student.

Collecting feedback about curriculum, college, course, teachers from students, parents, employers and subject peers Plan of action of the department for the next five years Plan to apply for major and minor research projects, Plan to apply for Career Oriented Programme(COP) sponsored by UGC, Plan to start certificate courses in Spoken English, English Correspondence Course, Plan to start consultancy, Plan to organize national level seminar.

ACHIEVEMENTS  OF THE DEPARTMENT
Alumni of the department Dr. Ramesh Rathod is Head, Dept. of English, Karnatak State Women’s University, Bijapur, alumni of the department Dr. Donnur P. B. is Associate Professor at Central University , Gulbarga. Alumni Dr. S. S. Biradar is Associate Professor in Govt. First Grade College, Bijapur.  Alumni Miss Sadiqua Horpati joined this department as faculty. Mrs. Azra Tehsin Inamdar got University Rank for securing highest marks. Students of the department doing research in English Literature. Conduct of Spoken English helping many students to get jobs.
