SADBHAVANA DIWAS CELEBRATION-2020

On the eve of 76th Birth Anniversary of former Prime Minister Late Shri. Rajiv Gandhi, Sadbhavana Diwas was celebrated by the NSS Units of our college on 24th August 2020. Dr.A.N.Chattarki-Principal opined that, Sadbhavana Diwas is a moment of paying homage to his memory and legacy. In English, ‘Sadbhavana’ means goodwill and bonafide.  Shri. Rajiv Gandhi, the youngest Prime Minister of India strived hard for the national integrity and social harmony of our nation and was known as the Goodwill Ambassador to the world.  The significance of Sadbhavana Diwas is to educate and increase awareness in today’s youth about the vision and the achievements of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, for India. This day is celebrated across the nation with a great zeal and excitement.

On this day, Principal Dr.A.N.Chattarki, NSS Program Officers Dr.Ruqqia, Dr. S.J.Jahagirdar, Volunteers, Staff and students took part in the Sadbhavana pledge. The function was initiated by recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran by Km.Umair Mantri, Naath-e- sharif by Ms. Sadiya Patwegar, followed by welcome and introduction of the Principal and the assembly. Dr, Ruqqia NSS Program Officer narrated the Sadbhavana Pledge and  Ms. Arshiya Guradi was the convener. The day ended with National Anthem.

Report on Independence Day Celebrations 2020

The 74th Independence Day was celebrated by the NSS Units along with other students and staff members in the college campus.

            Dr. A N Chattarki, Principal of our college laid out the importance of the youths. Youths are the backbone of the country and fitness is the key for increasing their productivity. A sensible balance between academics and fitness is need of the hour.

            Plantation programme was organized by the NSS Units of our college. Saplings were planted by Dr. A N Chattarki, Principal of our college, NSS programme officers Dr.Ruqqia and Dr. S J Jahagirdar, Volunteers, staff and students were present on the occasion.

Distribution of Face Masks

Under the able guidance of NSS Program Officer Dr.Ruqqia, the NSS Volunteers of our College Mr.Sabeer Bagwan and Miss. Shabnam  stitched face masks for protection from the pandemic COVID19 .The face masks were distributed by the  Volunteers to the College Staff, Students and the common public.Dr.A.N.Chattarki-Principal  lauded the efforts of the NSS Volunteers and advised them to continue with their selfless services to the College and community.Awareness was created on the following: a. Protection by use of Face mask b. Use of Hand Sanitizer c. Washing hands for 20 seconds d. Maintaining Social Distancing of 6 feete. Not spitting in  public places f. Avoiding gatheringsg. Avoiding crowds

Celebration of World Environment Day on 5th June 2020

The NSS Units of our College planted saplings on the occassion  of World Environment Day on 5th June 2020 in the College campus.  Dr.A.N.Chattarki, Principal,NSS Program Officers Dr.S.J.Jahagirdar U-I, Dr.Ruqqia U-II,  Volunteers , Teaching and non-teaching staff were present. ‘Plant a Sapling Save Environment’

Blood Donation Day

On the occassion of “Blood Donation Day” the NSS Units of our college Organised “Blood Donation Camp” in  collaboration with Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society, BENGALURU and Red Ribbon Club,  Vijayapur on 12th February 2020. 12 Boys Volunteers and 4 Girls Volunteers donated blood . Blood Donors were felicitated for their selfless services.

Dr.Ruqqia NSS Program Officer was felicitated By Red Ribbon Club, Vijayapur for encouraging and motivating the Volunteers for this humanitarian mission. Prof.S.I.S.Hamid Rozindar was also felicitated for his contribution towards Blood Donation. Principal Dr.Z.S.Qureshi, NSS Program Officer Dr.S.J.Jahagirdar, RRC member Shri Baburao , Medical Officer, Dr.Dharwadkar, Dr.Suma Mamdapur and staff were present.

HIV/AIDS awareness programme

On 30th January 2020, a One Day HIV/AIDS awareness programme was organisned by Red Ribbon Club and Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society in which 12 NSS Volunteers participated and received certificates.
An Intercollegiate Quiz Competition on HIV/AIDS was organised by RRC and Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society on 31st January 2020 in which 2 NSS Volunteers participated Km.Abid.Bagwan and Km.HasanPatel.Doddamani.
Km.Hasanpatel Doddamani secured 2nd place in Quiz and was awarded Cash Prize of Rs.750/- and a certificate.
Dr.Ruqqia NSS Program Officer guided the Volunteers.

VOTER’S REGISTRATION AND VOTING AWARENESS RALLY

Dept. of Political Science and N.S.S. units of the college, Vijayapur, jointly organized Voter’s Registration and Voting Awareness Rally, Chief Guest Smt.Mohan Kumari, Tahasildar of Vijayapur flagged of the Rally.

She highlighted the Importance of Voters, Registration and Voting of the Indian Democracy. She appealed all the eligible students to register their names in the voter’s list. Dr. Z. S. Qureshi, Principal of this college, stressed about the significance of the Indian Constitution. N.S.S. Programme Offficer Dr.Ruqqia welcomed and introduced the Chief Guest. Prof. Mahammadgous Pitali proposed a vote of thanks, all staff and students of the college participated in the rally. The rally dispersed after National Anthem.
