The department of Arabic established in 1987.
In 2006 HOD Sayed Yusuf Husaini published one book named “Rukh-e-Chanda” The Karnataka Urdu Academy Bangalore awarded as a “Best poetry” for his book.
The faculty members of the Department prepared and set the NET paper in 1995.
The faculty members of the Department framed the syllabus of Karnataka University Dharwad, Karnataka State Women University Bijapur and Rani Channamma University, Belgavi.
The faculty members of the Department doing religious, community and nationality services by their books, articles, various lectures and by attending the seminars and conferences.
The department of Arabic conducting state level district level and college level quiz competitions, elocution competitions and certificate courses etc.
In 1990 one student got gold medal award from Karnataka University Dharwad.
Success rate of the department nearly 100% every year.
Outgoing students of this department are working as Principal, lecturer and teachers in various colleges and schools.
Inter-disciplinary activities
With the Dept of Persian – a talk was conducted on “Influence of Arabic Language on Persian Language”. The department conducted Karnataka state level Quiz Competition in collaboration with Urdu, Persian and Economics.
