The Junior Nationals will be held from January 8th to 12th at Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

Desh ka Prakruti Parikshana Abhiyan

The “Desh ka Prakruti Parikshana Abhiyan” program was successfully conducted today, 10th December 2024, at Anjuman-E-Islam’s Anjuman Arts, Science, and Commerce College, Vijayapur. The event was organized under the IQAC initiative, Science Forum, and NSS Units of the college, in collaboration with the Department of Kriya Shareera from BLDEA’s AVS Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Hospital and Research Centre, Vijayapur.

Job Opportunities in the Pharmaceutical Sector

The Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Anjuman Arts, Science, and Commerce College organized a Career Guidance Programme on the topic “Job Opportunities in the Pharmaceutical Sector” on 30-11-2024 at the Smart Room. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Shaista Bijapur, a B.Sc. V Semester student and General Secretary of the Student’s Union.

Dr. M.G. Ghodesawar, Principal, highlighted the objectives of the Career Counselling and Placement Cell. Dr. S.J. Jahagirdar, IQAC Coordinator, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of career planning.
Mr. Suhil Ahamed elaborated on the requirements, opportunities, and career growth in the pharmaceutical sector. A key highlight of his talk was the explanation of how non-science graduates are inducted into this industry, which served as an engaging icebreaker for the audience.
The valedictory function was presided over by Prof. Khalid Nishani, Associate Professor, Department of Botany. Mr. Mukhtar Ahmed Tamadaddi, on behalf of the delegates, expressed gratitude to the organizers.

One Day National Workshop on “OBE Curriculum: Mapping & Attainment of POs and COs”

Anjuman Arts, Science & Commerce College, Vijayapur, organized a One Day National Workshop on “PBE Curriculum: Mapping & Attainment of POs and COs” on November 28, 2024. The workshop was inaugurated by watering the plant by the Vice President of Anjuman-E-Islam, Vijayapur, Janab Sayed Zainulabeddin Peerzade Hashmi.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. P. G. Tadasad, Senior Professor, KSAWU, Vijayapur, who emphasized integrating Outcome-Based Education (OBE) for quality enhancement. The technical sessions were conducted by Prof. Aftab Bhai, Head, Department of Economics, Government First Grade College, Kittur, Belagavi, covering mapping and attainment of POs and COs.
The event saw the participation of 80 attendees and college staff. The Principal, Dr. M. G. Ghodesawar, delivered the presidential remarks emphasizing the importance of continuous academic improvement. Dr. S. J. Jahagirdar, IQAC Coordinator, played a key role in organizing the event.
The workshop concluded successfully, providing valuable insights for educators to implement and evaluate OBE effectively.

National Constitution Day Celebration

On November 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM, the Department of Political Science organized a program in the Smart Room to celebrate the 75th National Constitution Day. During the event, attendees took the oath of the Preamble of the Constitution.
Prof. M. A. Peeran addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of individual rights and duties of every citizen of India. Dr. Saleem M. Desai spoke about the core values of the Indian Constitution and stressed that every citizen should be knowledgeable about it. Dr. M. G. Ghodesawar, the Principal and President of the event, highlighted the significance of understanding constitutional rights.
The program began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a prize distribution ceremony for the Essay Competition, Drawing Competition, Debate Competition, and Ghar Ghar Constitution Awareness Campaign,. Dr. Mahammadgous Pitali, HOD of the department, welcomed and introduced the dignitaries. Other faculty members were also present.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. B. S. Patil, a staff member of the department, and the National Anthem was sung to end the program.

World Environment Day 05-06-2024

On the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5th, Anjuman Arts Science and Commerce College in Vijayapur organized a meaningful celebration. The event welcomed Dr. Sirajuddin Horganimani, an esteemed Environmentalist, as the chief guest. The collaboration of various entities including the Science Forum, NSS Unit, and the Departments of Botany, Zoology & Chemistry exemplified a concerted effort towards environmental awareness and action.
The celebration commenced with the planting of trees by notable figures such as Principal Dr. M.G. Ghodesawar, IQAC Co-ordinator Dr. S. J. Jahagirdar, NSS officers Prof. M. A. Peran and Dr. Saleem Desai, alongside the enthusiastic participation of all staff members.
The event not only served as a platform for highlighting environmental concerns but also fostered a sense of responsibility and commitment towards sustainability among the college community. It is evident that such initiatives contribute significantly to the collective efforts aimed at preserving our planet for future generations.
